Traci is one of the finest young rising stars in the Pacific Northwest.
Her first place honors, two years running, at the True Value Country Showdown (in her region) and, her state wide win of the "National Singing Championship" had been merely a warmup for what was to come in 2001. After running the gambit of private society parties for high government officials (Governor Kitzhaber of Oregon stated, "she's the best new singer I've heard in ten years.") and cutting her teeth on County fairs and big weddings, she has finally released her first CD. This product is no "demo" but an expertly recorded and produced offering to the West Coast's country music and entertainment community. It's a national quality release. Traci's smooth style and sincere approach lends an honesty to the country blues that she delivers. The style is reminiscent of Brenda Lee and other great singers of the past but yet, there is something more. She brings a "uniqueness" and a "freshness" so coveted by the music industry today. This girl is real. She is the genuine article. Raised on a family farm in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, Traci brings an exciting, "refreshing lift" to old cover tunes and that "first time" excitement to her audiences with her "original songs from the heart". With radio play in the Willamette valley, and a house position at one of the northwest's biggest country venues located in Portland Or. (where, for a week each month, she showcases her music and her production team, the Rubes) she is exciting and thrilling audiences from all over the country. Yes, Traci is a hit everywhere she performs. Her backup band consists of some of the finest musicians and singers in the country. Traci works her four piece core member group on the smaller venues and is able to tailor her band to fit the job. Rising to the occasion on August 4th 2001, at the Oregon Jamboree, she used her nine piece group to open for the award winning "Sons of the Desert" and the mega star "Kenny Rogers" as well as hosting the True Value Country Showdown State Finals at this three day country entertainment marathon. |
